"Enterprise Ireland recognises the specific challenges faced by a microelectronics start-up in relation to the cost of EDA tools and the time involved in negotiating a satisfactory agreement with EDA vendors. Consequently it is intended to provide microelectronics start-ups with sufficient feasibility support so as to engage a consultant to assist with the negotiations with EDA vendors. It is expected that this will dramatically reduce the negotiation time and provide start-ups with a suitable agreement. Enterprise Ireland will also provide industry specific advice though our mentoring programme.”
