Shortlist for MIDAS Electronic Project Competition Announced
After much deliberation, the shortlist for the 3rd level MIDAS Electronic Project competition (sponsored by Analog Devices) has now been announced. The three entries that will go forward to the final on 5th October are:
• Damien McCormick, ITT, Project title: “Design and Implementation of an 8051 Microprocessor in Verilog”
• Barry McDermott, NUIG, Project title: “Night -time Object Detection with Automotive Camera”
• Yipeng Shen, IT Carlow, Project title: “Ultrasonic Tape Measure”
Congratulations to Yipeng, Barry and Damien and thanks to all those who entered the competition (36 entries, a new record for the competition).
