Shortlist for MIDAS Electronic Project Competition Announced.
After much deliberation, the shortlist for the 3rd level MIDAS Electronic Project competition (kindly sponsored by Analog Devices) has now been announced.
The three entries that will go forward to the final and will present at our Midas Ireland virtual meeting on 14th October 2021 are:

University of Limerick | Jack Nolan | Modelling of Degradation Mechanisms in LDMOS Transistors |
TU Dublin | Orlagh Murphy | Optimizing the fabrication process for next generation nanotextured solar cells with high conversion efficiency using industrially viable solar cell processes |
1st place will receive a €1,000 cash prize and the 2 runners up will each receive a €250 cash prize.

We are delighted with the positive response and would like to thank the various Institutes for promoting this competition on behalf of MIDAS Ireland.

This year due to the high standard we are also delighted to announce two “Highly Commended” awards to two students, both will receive a €100 cash prize.
