Norwood, MA – Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) today introduced the ADRF6806 and ADRF6807 quadrature demodulators featuring the industry’s highest dynamic range and integration, which cover a wide range of IF frequencies used in QAM / QPSK receivers as well as supporting common cellular standards such as W-CDMA / CDMA2000 / LTE, and also microwave point-to-point and point-to-multi-point radio architectures. The ADRF6806 demodulator operates in the 50-MHz to 525-MHz LO range, and the ADRF6807 demodulator operates in the 700-MHz to 1050-MHz LO range. The ADRF6806 and ADRF6807 use a high performance mixer core that results in an exceptional input IP3 and input P1dB, with a very low output noise floor for excellent dynamic range. Both demodulators integrate an IQ demodulator with a high performance fractional-N phase-locked loop (PLL), a low noise voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO), and two low drop-out regulators (LDO). The ADRF6806 and ADRF6807 are the latest additions to ADI’s family of integrated products which are the industry’s only quadrature demodulators to combine three RF functions into a single device, thereby simplifying design and reducing board space and bill of materials cost. The ADRF6806 and ADRF6807 also feature multiple programmable functions through its SPI port which allows the user to control the fractional-N PLL, the demodulator LO divider, multiple optimization options, low power mode, as well as allowing for an externally applied LO, or to generate a divided-down VCO signal for external use.
