Arralis has beaten tough competition from across the country to win a place to showcase its product at the UK’s largest innovation show this month.
Arralis was one of 100 companies to be selected to unveil its innovation to over 3,000 attendees at Innovate 2015 on November 9th and 10th at Old Billingsgate in London.
Arralis designs and manufactures high frequency semiconductor chips, modules and antennas up to and beyond 110GHz. Using their expertise in antenna design and material science, they have developed a wearable Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Antenna. The Antenna is multi-frequency and facilitates extremely precise Position, Velocity and Time (PVT) information for the receiver.
Uniquely wearable due to its low Space (80x80x5mm), Weight (3-5g) and Power (passive, zero current draw) (SWaP) properties, this unique innovation is printed on a flexible substrate making it low cost and durable. Military, law enforcement, aerospace, mobile telecommunications, logistics, emergency management and infrastructure applications can all derive huge benefits from the low SWaP antennae array.
The company’s attendance at Innovate 2015 coincides with Arralis being awarded a production contract from the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) for its wearable GNSS Antenna, being showcased at the event.
Speaking on the announcement of their selection for Innovate 2015 and MoD contract awarding, Arralis CEO, Barry Lunn said “We are really looking forward to Innovate 2015 and are honoured to showcase beside the best of UK innovation. The fact that it comes on foot of a MoD contract for the technology is an endorsement that our antenna is not just unique but highly commercial.”
Innovate UK Chief Executive Ruth McKernan said: “Arralis is a deserved winner and joins a prestigious group of 100 top innovators showcasing their products at Innovate 2015. With attendees ranging from international investors, buyers and visionary entrepreneurs to government and academia, the showcase is a great platform for winning companies.”
Catherine Raines, Chief Executive of UK Trade & Investment, said: “Innovate 2015 is a fantastic chance for some of the most cutting edge companies in the UK today to meet international partners and do business.
“I am really pleased that Arralis will be among the hundreds of UK firms at the show as well as business delegations from all corners of the world.
“I look forward to welcoming them.”
