IDA Representative

Seamus Carroll leads IDA Ireland’s Semiconductor Unit which was recently established in response to developments in the industry such as the EU Chips Act.

Seamus joined IDA in 1997 and since that time has worked in a number of industry sectors straddling both services, manufacturing and engineering activities including for example Enterprise Technology, Medical Technology, Biopharmaceuticals, Emerging Companies, International Services and Financial Services with a special focus on Asia.  Previous to his current role Seamus was based in IDA’s New York Office where he managed relationships with some of IDA’s key strategic clients in the Life Sciences space.

In his current role Seamus is responsible for positioning Ireland to capture more Foreign Direct Investment across the Semiconductor value chain.  Seamus graduated with a Degree in Applied Economics, Diploma in Industrial studies and an MBA from Ulster University.
