Tom has over three decades of experience with the international management of semiconductor product development at Analog Devices, Inc.
His role there incorporated all aspects of the definition, development and introduction of new products to the market, in the field of analog and mixed signal electronics, particularly precision digital-to-analog converters.
He managed a multinational team based in several countries including Ireland, Scotland, Spain, India and Japan. His team was responsible for the release of over 60 products which continue to enjoy commercial success today, several decades later. More recently, he focused on silicon designs for the medical and healthcare markets, and has developed novel liquid sensors based on silicon, aimed at medical diagnostic applications.
He has served as a Visiting Scientist for ten years at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA. He holds 14 U.S. granted patents, and is founder and current CEO of Analog Design Services Ltd, a mixed signal IC design startup based in Dublin.
He is a founder member of MIDAS Ireland and has held various roles in the organisation, including Third Level Representative and Chairman, before assuming his current role of Indigenous Chairman.
