Shortlist for MIDAS Electronic Project Competition Announced
After much deliberation, the shortlist for the 3rd level MIDAS Electronic Project competition (sponsored by Analog Devices) has now been announced. The three entries that will go forward to the final on 17th October are:
• Daire Joyce, NUIG, Project title: “ Real-Time Detection of Intention to Execute a Sit-to-Stand Transition for Ultimate Implementation as an Implanted Electronics System”
• Hasan Hammad, TUD Tallaght, Project title: “Design and Implementation of an IoT Medical Care System with Web Development”
• Mark Gaughran, IT Carlow, Project title: “ Vehicle Breathalyzer & Safety Monitoring System”
Congratulations to Daire, Hasan and Mark and thanks to all those who entered the competition this year. The winner/runners up will be announced after our final which takes place in IT Carlow on Thursday 17th October 2019.
